TOA Electronics' DA-250F is a high-performance 1RU digital amplifier for installation applications. It has four input and output channels, with replaceable terminal blocks for the inputs and a screw terminal strip for the outputs. The unit may be set to bridge mode, which gives it two high-power output channels in addition to the regular four-channel operation. The first input channel signal can be routed to all four outputs if needed, making it ideal for multi-zone paging. Large control knobs for input level control, as well as LEDs for input, output, power, peak, and protect status, are located on the front of the unit. Short circuits, overloads, and overheating are all protected by the built-in protection circuitry. The DA-250F's Class-D circuitry provides great audio quality and allows it to run at an efficiency of 85 percent, consuming nearly 1/3 less power than analogue amplifiers.
