The SHURE's BLX14R/B98 features a BLX1 bodypack transmitter, a BLX4R single-channel rackmountable receiver, and a Beta 98H/C microphone. This instrument microphone is created for saxophones, woodwinds, brass instruments, and percussion, among other things. The system is configured for Shure's J10 frequency band, which runs between 584 and 608 MHz.
The BLX4R receiver has a dual-color LED status indicator on the front panel that illuminates green for normal levels and red for fast metering when clipping. It offers both an XLR and a 1/4" instrument output, allowing user to connect your instrument to a variety of devices like mixing boards and PA systems. QuickScan instantly tunes the receiver to the clearest channel available and displays it on the front-panel LCD screen so you can tune the transmitter with just one button press. Besides that, with the provided rackmount kit, the machine can be mounted on a rack. The BLX1 can run for up to 14 hours on two supplied AA batteries, and operate within a 300' line-of-sight range.
The Beta 98H/C mic features a 10' flexible cable and a gooseneck with ratcheting swivel joint for a multitude of positioning choices. Its clip is created to fit on the bell of your saxophone, woodwind, or brass instrument, as well as the rim of your percussion instrument. It can withstand SPLs of up to 155 decibels, making it ideal for most brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments.
The BLX1 Bodypack Transmitter is works between 584 and 608 MHz and is tuned to the J10 frequency range. It works with Shure lavalier, headset, earset, and instrument microphones and includes a TQG input. The BLX1 can be used as a guitar transmitter with the optional WA302 adaptor cable. For convenient access when speaking or performing, the unit incorporates an on/off switch and volume control positioned on the top panel. The two supplied AA batteries can power the BLX1 for up to 14 hours.
