Each channel of the PV amplifier has a two-way crossover and a sub-sonic (low-cut) filter. The filters are cut at 40 Hz to prevent low-end rumble, and the crossover frequencies are locked at 150 Hz to allow subwoofers to be pushed at extremely high sound pressure levels. This unit takes advantage of durable TO-3P output devices mounted on huge aluminium extrusions and distributes heat via an incredibly quiet and effective two-speed fan, which was developed during many years of amplifier design. PV amplifiers are built to function at line voltages as low as 50% of nominal, using massive toroidal power transformers and boasting specifications and features not seen in comparable priced competitors. In BRIDGE mode, this amp is meant to drive a 2-Ohm load per channel, resulting in incredible performance into 4 Ohms. PV amplifiers are tough, rack-mountable pieces of hardware with excellent patching capabilities, allowing for greater application flexibility. On each channel, calibrated, detented gain (dB) controls and LED indications for power (PWR), signal presence (SIG), Thermal Protection indicator, and DDTTM activation, as well as a rocker mains POWER switch, are included on the front panel. An IEC connector, line voltage selector switch, dual primary fuses, and the essential cooling fan opening are all found on the back panel. This entrance should always have enough cool air and should never be closed or restricted.
