RODE VIDEOMIC PRO Rycote Compact Directional On-camera Microphone

The RØDE's VIDEOMIC PRO is a real shotgun microphone designed for use as a primary and reference audio source with camcorders, DSLR cameras, and portable audio recorders. This condenser microphone is powered by a brand-new 1/2" condenser capsule with an exceptionally low self-noise of just 14db that delivers broadcast-quality audio via a 3.5mm minijack connector (outputting the mono signal to both left and right channels). A super-cardioid polar pattern reduces background noise while focusing your video on the subject in front of the camera.

The VideoMic Pro capsule and electronics are separated from their mount by an integrated Rycote® Lyre® based shock mounting system, which provides isolation from external physical elements that could create undesired rumbling and vibrations in the microphone. The Lyre®, which is made of a single piece of tough thermoplastic, provides superior acoustic suspension to typical elastic solutions and will never wear out, sag, or snap. The microphone has a standard sized shoe mount for on-camera use with a 3/8" thread in the base for convenient boom pole mounting. The VideoMic pro is battery-powered and can record for over 70 hours on a single charge.
