The RØDE's SMARTLAV+ is a broadcast-grade wearable microphone that may be used in a variety of film, television, and broadcast applications, as well as anywhere where broadcast-quality audio is needed in a discreet, portable manner without the hassle and expense of extra wireless equipment. The smartLav+ requires only that the user put the microphone on the talent, link it to a smartphone or tablet headphone jack, and record using the RODE Rec app for iOS or any other audio app of their choosing. This condenser microphone uses a professional quality omni-directional condenser capsule that picks up sound equally from all sides of the microphone, providing for mounting flexibility and a high level of user-friendliness.

A foam pop shield, as well as a sturdy mounting clip with built-in cable management, are included to reduce wind noise and vocal plosives. Its Kevlar® strengthened wire ensures that your microphone never stretches or snaps during everyday use. The smartLav+ works with any audio software that accepts input from the headset connection, but it's especially well-suited to RODE's Reporter app for Apple iOS devices.
