The RØDE's BROADCASTER is a condenser microphone with a large diaphragm built for broadcast, voice-over, radio, and podcast applications. The 1" gold-plated capsule, low-noise circuitry, and prominent proximity effect combine to produce a warm and rich tone worthy of professional recordings. Furthermore, the cardioid polar pattern of the mic naturally rejects sound from behind it, picking up less background noise than other polar responses.
It's an end-address mic with a clip that works with stands or boom arms, as per broadcast tradition (available separately). When properly wired to a compatible console, it contains a unique LED that can be utilised for "On-Air" indication. Unlike many microphones that require an additional screen to prevent ''pop'' noises, the Broadcaster features an integrated pop filter. Because the Broadcaster is a real condenser mic, it should be connected to a mixer channel, mic preamp, or audio equipment that can supply phantom power through an XLR mic connection (sold separately).
