The JBL's CSM32 3 x 2 stereo public address analog mixer is a digital commercial mixer designed for use in conferencing, retail, and hospitality environments. Three stereo music inputs with bass and treble equalisers, as well as a line input for connecting the mixer to a building's alarm system, are included on the mixer. One microphone input with phantom power, gain, and a ducker that can lower the music volume when delivering announcements is also included in the mixer.
Two stereo outputs with zone equalisers, active crossovers, and separate subwoofer outs are included in the unit. For telephone music-on-hold systems, an additional music-only mono output is offered. A knob switches between audio from source 1, audio from source 2, and remote control of the mixer on the simple analogue style control panel. It is not necessary to use a computer to operate the device. Once the device has been configured, a security plate included with the unit can be put over the front panel to prevent changes to the controls.
The mixer is compatible with CSR remote controllers, allowing you to select the source and change the level of each zone using a remote. Multiple CSM mixers can be linked together using a Cat5 cable placed into the unit's RJ45 link ports to add more output zones to the system. With the features listed above, the mixer can be used for a variety of commercial sound applications.
