The Focusrite Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic features eight colourful 2nd generation Focusrite mic/line preamps with great headroom, plenty of clean gain, low noise, and vanishingly low distortion, making it ideal for tracking drums, guitars, vocals, and more. Do you want to play bass or keys solo? Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic's two extended-headroom rear-panel instrument inputs make it simple. The Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic's onboard ADAT I/O gives you a lot of options: the outputs let you connect to any interface or digital system with ADAT optical inputs, and the inputs let you cascade another Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic or any other ADAT-output-equipped preamp, like the Scarlett OctoPre, for more expansion options. The analogue line outputs are ideal for feeding an analogue console while recording with the digital outputs, as they are supplied directly from the mic inputs (or ADAT inputs).

Each channel of the Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic has a soft-knee VCA compressor, making it a simple one-knob solution for regulating all your input signal dynamics. The Transparent mode of the compressors provides fine dynamics control; hitting the More button doubles the ratio for increased compression.

Every Scarlett machine includes Focusrite's class-leading 24-bit/192kHz conversion, which is essential for outstanding digital audio. The Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic is a simple, straightforward method to enhance your studio I/O, with a dynamic range of up to 119dB.
