FOCUSRITE SCARLETT OCTOPRE 8 Channel Preamp with ADAT Outputs

The Focusrite Scarlett OctoPre is a slim 1 RU rackmount device with eight Scarlett microphone preamps and onboard high-resolution AD converters, making it an ideal addition to any home/project studio, live sound mixing console, or mobile recording rig with available ADAT digital inputs or unused analogue line inputs.

This signal processor's eight XLR-1/4" combination inputs may receive mic- or line-level signals, and the front-panel input jacks can also support 1/4" instrument outputs, allowing you to plug in a guitar or bass directly. Pads on each channel allow you to record the sound of high-level sound sources like drums and cranked guitar amps, and two 4-channel banks of 48V phantom power can be used to power condenser mics and active DI boxes.

These features, in addition to the wordclock sync I/O and 5-segment LED metering, make the unit ideal for studio application. But that's only one of the Scarlett OctoPre's intended uses: it also works well in live sound scenarios, offering eight additional preamps for the stage, all of which feed their own line outputs, allowing them to feed a variety of mixers, consoles, and PAs. You can even record digitally using the ADAT outputs while routing the line outputs to a console. The OctoPre comes with included software, which includes the Focusrite Red 2 and Red 3 plug-ins, the Softube Time and Tone Bundle, and Focusrite's Plug-In Collective, which releases exclusive new downloads every couple of months.
