The SHURE's SM58-X2U is a USB digital bundle that includes an SM58 cardioid dynamic microphone and an X2U USB plug. By using the SM58 with X2u, it can be readily linked to a computer without the use of any additional hardware, which makes it great for recording in a home studio or on the go. The Windows Vista, XP, 2000, 7, 8, 10, and Mac OS X are all supported by the X2u (10.1 or later). It has a built-in headphone connector, allowing you to monitor the sound without the need for a separate sound card. Even better, it also comes with a built-in preamp with mic gain control, allowing you to adjust the signal intensity. With the X2U, you can anticipate zero-latency monitoring. Zero-latency monitoring allows for real-time playing and multi-tracking with no delays, and the 16-bit/48-kHz sample rate produces music that is superior to that of a CD.
