The SHURE's SLX24/SM58 combines a Shure SLX2/SM58 portable microphone/transmitter with a Shure SLX4 diversity receiver to create the Shure SLX24/SM58. This Shure SLX wireless microphone is ideal for installed sound applications and working bands, and it includes Shure's unique Audio Reference Companding technology, as well as automated synchronisation and support for up to 20 compatible systems (area dependent). The Shure SLX2/SM58 cardioid dynamic microphone with built-in transmitter that comes with this system is a classic cardioid dynamic microphone with built-in transmitter.
The SLX2/SM58 is a cardioid dynamic microphone with a frequency response that's well designed for vocals, with a stronger middle and bass roll-off, limiting interference from other onstage sound sources. It has a built-in handheld transmitter, a timed, backlit LCD, frequency and power lockouts, and a range of 300' (100m). It can also run for eight hours straight on two AA batteries.
The SLX4 is a durable metal wireless receiver on the SLX24/SM58 that uses diversity technology to improve reception and reduce dropouts. Rackmount hardware, removable 1/4-wave antennas, a backlit LCD display, 1/4" and XLR output connections, frequency and power lockouts, an in-line power supply, and a rear-panel volume control are all included in the SLX4.
