The SHURE's KSM32-SL is a cardioid condenser microphone that produces a smooth, neutral sound reproduction. It comes with cross-over distortion that eliminated with Class A transformerless preamplifier circuitry, resulting in enhanced linearity over the whole frequency range. KSM32-SL also features an extended low-frequency response due to an embossed, high-compliance diaphragm. Besides that, Mylar diaphragm is ultra-thin, gold-layered, and low-mass for outstanding transient response. For handling exceptionally high sound pressure levels, a 15 dB attenuation switch is used (SPL). Besides that, a switchable low-frequency filter gives user more options for reducing background noise or counteracting the proximity effect, a three-stage pop protection grille is integrated to reduce "pop" and other breath sounds, and a internal shock mount decreases handling noise transfer.
