The SHURE's BLX14/B98 is a wireless microphone that come with BLX1 bodypack transmitter, a BLX4 single-channel receiver, and a Beta 98H/C clip-on microphone. It's created for saxophones, woodwinds, brass instruments, and percussion. The system is configured for Shure's H9 frequency band, which operates between 512 and 542 MHz.
The BLX4 receiver has a dual-color LED status indicator on the front panel that illuminates green for normal levels and red for fast metering when clipping. It offers both an XLR and a 1/4" instrument output, allowing you to connect your instrument to a wide range of gear, including amplifiers and mixing boards. The BLX1 can run for up to 14 hours on two supplied AA batteries, and operate within a 300' line-of-sight range.
The Beta 98H/C mic features a 10' flexible cable and a gooseneck with ratcheting swivel joint for a multitude of positioning choices. Its clip is made to fit on the bell of your saxophone, woodwind, or brass instrument, as well as the rim of your percussion instrument. It can withstand SPLs of up to 155 decibels, making it ideal for most brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments.
