The SHURE's 588SDX is a cardioid dynamic microphone with a ball-type, dual-impedance design that produces outstanding speech reproduction. Its spherical grille works well as a wind and pop filter, and it's especially useful for closeup voice miking. In schools, churches, and conference places, this microphone is ideal for picking up speech or music. Its unidirectional polar design considerably decreases feedback issues, allowing it to operate closer to loudspeakers than typical without the irritating scream or howl that feedback causes.
