SENNHEISER E 604 Instrument Microphone (E604)

The SENNHEISER's E604 is a durable cardioid instrument microphone designed to handle the high sound pressure levels of drums, percussion, woodwind, and brass instruments without distortion. It catches frequencies between 40 Hz and 18 kHz without distortion at sound pressure levels exceeding 160 dB. The e 604 contains a dynamic transducer that does not require phantom power, and its cardioid polar pattern effectively minimises pickup and feedback at the capsule's off-axis portions. The microphone's accompanying clip attaches to the rim of a drum or the bell of a saxophone, while the microphone's inherent stand attachment screws directly onto mic stands. Instruments can cut through the mix with a tiny bump between 4 and 5 kHz.
