The RODE's NTR active ribbon condenser microphone is built on a sensitive 1.8-micron-thick ribbon element that can provide a wide frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, which is unusual for a ribbon mic. Its applications go beyond those of a normal ribbon mic, allowing it to accommodate a wider range of vocal types, as well as strings, brass, electric and acoustic guitars, drum overheads or room mics, and more. The mic's internal components include a custom-designed and built transformer as well as an internal shock mounting system. A ribbon-securing travel screw is included, allowing you to secure the mic's sensitive ribbon while transporting it and preventing it from being damaged accidently.
