The JBL's PRX725 dual 15" 1500W two-way multipurpose self powered speaker is ideal for live sound reinforcement applications such as concerts, schools, and places of worship. The speaker is made of poplar plywood with an obsidian DuraFlex finish, and tongue and groove joinery is used for stronger bracing and less box vibration. It has a maximum SPL of 139 dB and a frequency response of 40 to 18,500 Hz with two 15" low-distortion low-frequency woofers, a wave-guided 1.5" diameter neodymium compression driver, and a class-D amplifier. The speaker comes with an injection moulded handle, 16-gauge steel dent-resistant cloth-backed grills, integrated M10 suspension points for hanging, and an integrated M10 pull back point for positioning for easy travel and setup.
The speaker's back panel includes two 3-pin XLR and 1/4" balanced microphone and line inputs with a selector button, as well as two unbalanced RCA inputs. On channels 1 and 2, two gain control knobs let you tweak the input signal, and a 3-pin XLR male thru connector with a thru selector switch lets you send audio to another powered speaker or amplifier. On the front of the device, there is an EQ boost button for broadening the frequency response of the speaker, as well as a button to turn on and off the power/standby LED.
