The JBL's CONTROL 29AVWH1 is a shielded passive 8" loudspeaker with a low-saturation transformer for voice amplification and foreground music reproduction in a variety of indoor and outdoor venues. This public address system can be powered by 70V, 100V, or 8-Ohm power amplifiers with the 110W transformer (available separately). A sturdy 8" Kevlar-cone woofer and a 1" titanium-diaphragm compression driver are included in each Control 29AV-1, resulting in a frequency response of 43 Hz to 15 kHz and a continuous programme power output of 300W. The loudspeaker may be positioned horizontally or vertically with its rotating horn.
The built-in crossover network enables optimum frequency distribution and smooth tone to the speaker components. SonicGuard circuitry protects against overloading-related damage without sacrificing sound quality. The screw-down terminal strip allows for easy wiring and uses nickel/zinc terminals for increased rust resistance. Installation is made easier by the included InvisiBall mounting system and input panel cover. The Control 29AV-1 can be put as close as 9" from television monitors thanks to clever magnetic shielding.
