The ZonePRO 640m from DBX is a signal processor that features a total of 6 inputs and four outputs. The inputs are including four balanced mic/line switchable terminal block inputs and two mono-summed pairs of unbalanced RCA inputs. It offers fixed I/O, pre-configured architecture, configurable insert processing and optional duplication of audio channels to another ZonePRO device through a link bus. Microphone gain can be adjusted per channel using hardware-controlled microphone gain.
The pre-configured architecture of the 640m device includes input processing, a central matrix, and output processing. Channel-specific insert processing can be configured using two input insert positions and one output insert position. Each output zone has permanent access to AutoWarmth®, a psychoacoustic function that maintains full frequency bandwidth even when the signal level drops.
In applications where additional output zones are required, a link bus allows the first six audio channels to be duplicated to another ZonePRO device.
The 640m's front panel includes extensive signal metering, an informative LCD display, and user-specified front panel control.
Aside from processing, the ZonePRO® products provide various forms of control to expand the flexibility of your system. From simple wall panel Zone Controllers for standard end-user functions like source selection and volume control to advanced system control with a built-in Real Time Clock that can provide programmable system changes throughout the day or week. The ZonePRO Designer software includes a simple interface and a quick setup Wizard for configuring and editing all system parameters for setting up the system. With the addition of Ethernet control, it can now be accessed not only from standard network equipment, but also from remote dialup locations or wireless access points.
